The interior of the apartment was invented by architects from the Polish studio Loft Kolasinski in Szczecin. They rebuilt a summer apartment in a suburb of Berlin, where they were able to combine the original brick walls and ceilings with mid-century furniture.
The main idea was to refer to the old Mediterranean architecture. The decoration and furniture were supposed to be a bit eccentric, mysterious and elegant,
reports "Archidea."
This part of the building has undergone major changes. The inner walls required drying and further finishing. They are partially damp. The floors are covered with bricks and wooden boards.
The palette was brought closer to the palette of Greek coastal houses with uneven brick, clay stucco walls painted white. All bricks are painted white. Also, most of the ceiling is finished, except for some sections with red bricks, which were left in their original form.
Lamps and decor items are found in antique shops. Some of them are unique, as they were made to order many years ago. Among the furniture and equipment there are also objects created at the turn of the 50-60s, as well as products made according to the sketches of the designers of the studio and made in Poland.
Recently, stylists told how to create a
Italian-style bedroom. They advised adding details, choosing natural textures, and paying attention to plants.
