The doll remotely resembles a person. This was used by Japanese artist Tsukimi Ayana, who decided to revive the almost empty village of Nagoro on the island of Shikoku.

After 16 years of absence from Tsukimi’s homeland, Ayana thought it would be nice to draw attention to her village. After all, all the locals either left her or have already died, writes Bigpicture.

It all started with the fact that the artist created her father's doll. She wanted his image to always remain with her, even in the form of a doll sitting around the house.

Then Tsukimi Ayana began to create other dolls. She used straw, cloth, and old clothes. The woman managed to create almost 350 dolls that became the prototypes of people who died or left Nagorno-Karabakh. Among them there are residents who are sitting at a bus stop or just looking at the sky, schoolchildren or workers.

From the side, such a village looks creepy. But Tsukimi Ayana hopes that people will return here. In the meantime, she can only draw attention to this place with her creativity.

The German photographer also wants to save the past, who, with his hobby, captures abandoned architecture. His photographs show ruined dance halls, hotel lobbies, abandoned hospitals and factories.
