Flying paper ships create two Frenchmen who started their business as a hobby. After much experimentation, they focused on installations from handmade objects. Lucy Thomas and Thibaut Zimberman use paper, wood and fabrics.
They create all the elements of flying ships on their own — from the drawing to cutting and assembly. A particular effect is created by the details of each model, as well as original geometric patterns and stylish colors, according to the artists website.
Lucy and Thibault create bright and graceful flying ships that seem to soar in the air. It is as if they are ready at any moment to embark on a bold journey to unknown distances.
Favorite material artists — paper. Complex and colorful sculptures are created from it. The paper inspires versatility, an endless range of colors and unique textures. Flat paper sheets turned into volume give ephemeral installations.
Earlier, OXO wrote about an artist from Iran who creates
paintings on sweeping strokes of oil paint. As the main subjects, she chooses natural motifs - sea and mountain landscapes.
