The house in the mountains, which was called the hut during the design, was created by architects from the American company Olson Kundig Architects. This is a structure with a compact support and high profile, designed to serve as an "intimate place to live among the trees in the mountains."

The area near the town of Stowe is known for its trails, ski crossings and spectacular views. Therefore, the current owners of this "hut" wanted to create unpretentious housing for the whole family in this region, reports Archidea.

The three-story building, surrounded by forest, received a total area of 209 square meters. m, the outer walls are made of concrete and weatherproof steel. Most of the construction is made of glass, which provides an amazing view.

Both inside and outside, architects used durable materials that remained incomplete. In addition to external steel siding, the interior used raw concrete and exposed wood.

A palette of basic materials from steel, wood and concrete draws inspiration from unspoilt wildlife. An extensive view of the area is visible from the upper level of the cockpit, where the team placed an open-plan area for cooking, lunch and rest.

The middle level contains the main entrance, two bedrooms and a bathroom. On the ground floor there is a bedroom, a ladies room and a garage, which also serves as a games room. The rooms are accessible via an internal wooden staircase. In addition, an external metal staircase provides access to the middle floor.

Concrete floors with underfloor heating are installed in some areas of the house. Additional heat is provided by a black wood stove, which helps to maintain coziness in the living area on cold winter days.

Recently, the OXO wrote about the house with a Scandinavian interior and classic elements created by the editor of the fashion magazine Metro Petra Tungard.
