The main purpose of using “smart” dishes is to reduce the amount of plastic thrown away, and to use it again. After all, every year, restaurants of companies throw billions of disposable cups into the trash.

McDonald’s and Starbucks are developing smart cups as part of the NextGen Cup Challenge project. But for testing, they will use the dishes created by Muuse startup. The coffee buyer must scan the cup whenever he picks it up and throws it at special collection points.

Innovation, according to developers, will help track who throws glasses and who keeps it. This information will be entered in the servers of coffee houses.
