Artificial intelligence has helped in the discovery of a new antibiotic. A detected compound can overcome up to 35 potentially deadly bacteria.

The neural network analyzed about 100 million chemical compounds to find compounds with the highest antibacterial characteristics that can kill E. coli. After analysis, about 100 chemical compounds were selected, reports to the BBC.

According to an employee of the Massachusetts University of Technology, they managed to detect the antibiotic using a neural network for the first time.

The World Health Organization considers antibiotic resistance a serious problem. After all, their improper intake can only strengthen the harmful bacteria that live in the body.

The other day, a heart valve, which does not require replacement with age, created scientists from the Boston Children's Hospital. The prosthesis does not expand independently, but with the help of a balloon catheter, the installation of which is considered to be “minimally invasive”.
