62-year-old American George Hood proved that "age is just a number", having stood in the bar for more than eight hours.

The former marine managed to set a record for this exercise, showing a time of 8 hours 15 minutes and 15 seconds. The athlete was in the Guinness Book of Records.

“Age is just a number, and it's never too late to get the best fit in your life,” said Hood.

He added that his current record is almost twice as long as the previous one.

“We just completed the training cycle. We were preparing for the main event on February 15, and it was successful. Our last bar exceeded the Guinness world record, which was 8 hours and 1 minute,” said Hood.

Note that Hood is a 12-time world record holder and international record holder for standing in the bar.

The American said that he trains every day, in particular, he is 700 times squeezed off the floor and unbends his body to train the press 2000 times.

“Once you start a routine, the goal is to end it. I’m talking about setting goals and striving for records, because, frankly, everything else is just doing the exercise,” said Hood.

The ex-Marine is going to send the income due to him for setting a record to an organization that deals with mental health issues.
