Furniture that resembles wardrobes and dressers from a fairy tale is created by Auckland carpenter Hank Verhoff. His works are amazing art objects in which magic lives.
A man performs his work with extraordinary thoroughness. Sometimes it takes from 80 to 100 hours to create one cabinet. But this is offset by the functionality and unusual appearance of the finished product,

Hank Verhoff has been involved in furniture all his life. But what he is creating now is not a matter of earning, but of the soul. After all, after his daughter posted pictures of finished dressers and wardrobes on the net, a carpenter from New Zealand gained a lot of fans.
Despite the fact that the furniture that Hank Verhoff creates seems broken, each drawer and door in it are working. Moreover, the design itself, with all its external shakiness, is very stable.
“I’ve been working with wood for 53 years,” he says. “Making furniture for me is not just a job, but a hobby and a passion.”
Recently, another
hobby. Sculptures from scrap metal and old spare parts are created by the American Brian Mock. He gives preference to animals — lions, bears, dogs and cats.
