The outbreak of a rapidly spreading infection in Europe has led to the cancellation of a number of public events, including a car exhibition.

Problems with the COVID-19 virus also affected the Geneva Motor Show - one of the largest and most respected international exhibitions in 2020 will not take place. This decision was made in order not to jeopardize the health and life of both employees of automobile companies and exhibitors, and guests of the car dealership.

An official statement from the organizers of the exhibition confirmed the information about the cancellation of the show, which had appeared immediately before from several car manufacturers that are participants in the car dealership. In addition, a number of automotive brands immediately banned their employees from being present in Geneva even as ordinary guests of the exhibition.

The Swiss Ministry of Health supported the decision not to hold a motor show in Geneva, and also banned the organization of public events with more than a thousand participants in the country until March 15 at least. Such measures are being taken to prevent the further spread of coronavirus.

Recall that the outbreak of COVID-19, which began in China, has now spread to a number of European countries, where the virus, in the absence of borders between states, began to spread rapidly across the continent. Following China, where production was stopped and mass events were banned, restrictive measures began to be introduced in Europe.
