The house in Melbourne became a place of experimentation for the Kennedy Nolan architects architectural studio. As a result, their reconstruction project won the Dulux Color Awards 2019 Residential Interior.
They were able to transform the old family house by using soft pastels and green accents. Thanks to this, the experts of the architectural studio created an “expressive, fascinating and memorable” space,
writes "Archidea."
The architects carried out a thoughtful and practical reconstruction of the old house. They complemented it with an extension in the backyard, a pool and a garden. For the last two components, unexpected shapes and materials were involved.
Outside is a house with an original front door. Inside, the building has a living room and small private areas, such as bedrooms. Designers for the appearance of transformation chose round windows and arched doorways with black metal frames.
Fresh pastel colors with green accents, playful shapes and crisp curves have contributed to both the interior and the exterior of the room.
Earlier, the OXO wrote about one more
project. The house, resembling a fortress, was presented by Polish architect Alex Wyzhevsky. His project provides for the use of glass, concrete and metal.
