WHO tells how to make a gel antiseptic at home (Document)

The World Health Organization disseminates recommendations for the independent manufacture of an alcohol-containing gel antiseptic.

The document with detailed instructions contains several options for preparing personal care products, reports Ukrinform’s own correspondent with a link to the organization’s website.

To prepare 1 liter of gel, which is the best option for home or local pharmacy, it is necessary to use 833.3 ml of ethanol, 41.7 ml of hydrogen peroxide and 14.5 ml of glycerin. These ingredients must be dissolved with the required amount of boiled or distilled water and stored in an airtight container.

The prepared antiseptic can be poured into smaller containers for ease of use.

In many countries of Europe and the world, due to the spread of panic among the population, speculation and ineffective actions of the authorities, there is a lack of protective equipment that can prevent the spread of coronavirus and the spread of the epidemic.
