Scientists from National University of Singapore and the Institute of Environmental Health, supported by doctors from local hospitals, have discovered new symptoms of COVID-19.

Singaporean scientists have discovered new symptoms of coronavirus-related COVID-19 disease. According to experts, these symptoms create a false picture about the presence of dengue fever in a patient. For example, a patient infected with coronavirus may develop a different itchy rash and a fever, but the symptoms most characteristic of COVID-19 will be absent.

According to researchers, even tests in this case can sometimes show false positive results for dengue fever, so experts urged physicians to be as careful as possible about the diagnosis of coronavirus. Singaporeans emphasized that incorrect diagnosis and, as a result, treatment can threaten both the infected and others.

The main symptoms of coronavirus, experts include fever, severe fatigue and cough with slight sputum. According to the latest data from the Johns Hopkins University project (USA), more than 114 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the world, more than 80 thousand of them in China. 4026 people became victims of COVID-19, but more than 64 thousand were successfully cured.
