The reMarkable company introduced the reMarkable 2 tablet - a new, thinner, faster and cheaper version of the electronic ink tablet, presented in 2016.
The original reMarkable tablet was presented in 2016; the device with a 10.3-inch screen on electronic ink was not particularly successful - in particular, because of the price tag ($ 499) and not very fast software. The device was not positioned as a replacement for a laptop - it was rather offered as a more functional replacement for a regular notebook.
Now the company introduced a new model - reMarkable 2. The new tablet turned out to be cheaper - it costs $ 399. At the same time, he received a new, dual-core processor, which should provide higher speed. Among other things, the device received a thinner body - according to reMarkable, the new model is the thinnest tablet in the world.
As in the case with the original model, the novelty received a Canvas display - now, however, the second generation. The screen also uses electronic ink technology and has a diagonal of 10.3 inches; the resolution is 1,872 by 1,404 pixels (pixel density - 226 DPI). The response time of the display is 21 milliseconds (this is about twice as fast compared to the previous model). The tablet is charged using the USB-C port.
The stylus for the tablet is sold separately - it costs $ 49; case costs $ 69. ReMarkable has opened pre-orders for the novelty now; deliveries are expected to start in June of this year.
