In the center of London, a flying house was installed (Photo)

The house, which seems to soar in the air, stands at the entrance to the Covent Garden Market in central London. This installation was invented and implemented by the British illusionist Alex Chinnek.

Chinnek created an old Victorian mansion, "cut" into two parts. The structure is made of polystyrene using a CNC machine. The lower part is on the ground, and the upper one is floating in the air, transmits Bigpicture.

This project has a very long name — Take my lightning but don’t steal my thunder (“Take my lightning, but do not touch my thunder”). The author took about four months to implement it.

Alex Chinnek wanted to create an affordable, but breathtaking, work of art. A construction that could harmoniously fit into the historical environment of Covent Garden Park and leave a lasting impression.

This illusionist has already come up with similar installations. He is the author of The Sliding Facade in the tourist town of Margate in the southeast of England.

Recently it was reported that the Polish architect Karina Wiciak from Wamhouse Studio developed the original house designs of glass and concrete. Each of them house outlines similar to the logo of a famous brand.
