Collecting sewer manholes is a hobby of Russian blogger Ilya Varlamov. He travels to different countries and photographs these sidewalk decorations.

The blogger believes that the attitude of pedestrians to hatches is disregard. Although this iron decor can rightfully be attributed to the main decorations of the cities. After all, each of them has a very unusual pattern, writes Bigpicture.

The location of the hatches on the roads is clear to Ilya. There they perform a utilitarian function. As for the sidewalks, here everything is much more complicated. This is especially true of old hatches, on which you can often find old coat of arms decorations.

Many sewer manholes, according to the blogger, can be considered works of art and attractions, symbols of cities.

Earlier, OXO broadcast another attentive photographer. Japanese under the nickname monjiro9 travels and removes bizarre architectural objects.
