Photographer and graphic designer Dmitry Burrio from Nantes has always been interested in history and architecture. In 2013, he became interested in photographing abandoned places, and his first place for such research was the cemetery of warships. As a result, he began to travel the world in search of abandoned houses. We offer a look at his collection of picturesque castles that people have long left.

Photographer and graphic designer and freelancer Dmitry Burrio, better known under his brand name Jahz Design, lives and works in France.

A multi-faceted self-taught artist began working in the fashion world in 2006 as a graphic artist / designer for the Kavany ready-made clothing brand (owned by football player Christian Karambyo). In 2009, he began working as a freelancer with clients such as Damon Dash, Julia Channel, Nouvelle Donne Music label and others. In 2018, Dmitry became the ambassador of Irix, the Swiss brand of ultra wide angle lenses.

“The first abandoned place I photographed was the cemetery of old warships. And today I travel around the globe in search of places forgotten by time. These are the most beautiful abandoned castles that I managed to find,” the photographer writes.
