Wooden cottage La Petite Maison — a project of the architectural studio 2m26. It is implemented in the south-west of France in the Charente-Maritime region and is positioned as the best place for a vacation.
A 36-square-meter wooden house is located away from the main residence, in an area that is surrounded by fields, forests and meadows. The architectural studio designed the house and most of the furniture, writes Archidea.
La Petite Maison is a wood-assembled on-site structure that uses screws to secure wooden boards and panels. This makes it quite mobile in matters of assembly and disassembly.
As the main supports, several concrete pillars are used. They raise the total volume of the room. For privacy and shadow, panoramic glass windows and sliding panels are involved.
“In a minimal space, there are many opportunities to open a house for the environment, for the sun and air,” said 2m26 in the architectural studio.
The interior of the structure is further divided by sliding doors and screens. When they are fully open, they let in natural light and are sufficiently ventilated.
Recently it was reported about the project of the house, which is located in a 12-meter white tower. It was designed by the Italian architect Lorenzo Grifantini. The external and internal space turned out to be quite interesting.
