A sticker battery that can be attached to any surface was created by specialists from the Korea University of Energy Research. It is a microfilm ultrathin capacitor for energy storage.
The device is attached by means of ultrashort laser pulses, which partially melt it and allow it to be held on any surface. This is stated in the work of scientists published in the journal Chemical Engineering Journal.
The battery consists of adhesive polymer composites and porous graphene coated with a functional mimic of mussel adhesive protein. It easily bends, returning, if necessary, to its original position without damage. It is noted that the efficiency of the device is 13 times higher than that of analogues.
The battery sticker decays easily in the soil and connects to wearable gadgets.
