Startup company Einride has shown how a single operator can remotely control several electric truck-less trucks.
Swedish startup Einride plans to use one operator to control several of its electric cabless trucks at once. A new video published by a startup demonstrates how this control takes place.
The video shows that a person sits immediately in front of several screens on which images from truck cameras are displayed. Apparently, the operator uses the usual controls - in any case, the video shows how a person controls the truck using the steering wheel.
Einride trucks can operate without remote control, but not always - for complex maneuvers, they just need an operator. They are designed to work on fixed short and medium routes. The startup expects that ultimately one operator will be able to safely manage up to 10 trucks.
