Imagine living in a village for more than 37 years, and then suddenly the authorities announce the demolition of your house. If you do not take any action, then you will lose everything that was so important. What would you do? A 96-year-old resident of Taiwan has found a brilliant way to solve this problem, and now people from all over the world want to get to know him and see his house.

The 96-year-old Huang Yong-Fu, a retired soldier, saved his native village from demolition with his work. Once in a village near Taichung there were more than 1,200 houses that the government temporarily provided to the military. Over time, most residents parted, and developers gradually began to buy land. Only 11 houses remained in the village, but their owners refused to move, among them was Huang Yong-Fu.

Bored in retirement, Huang Yong-Fu was carried away by the visual arts, and soon his work went beyond his own home. The village has transformed so that it has become one of the main attractions of Taichung. Authorities were forced to reconsider their decision to demolish the village.

Maintaining rainbow beauty requires a lot of strength and energy, but a pensioner is confident that he will draw in 100 years. Every day, a man wakes up at 3 a.m. to start drawing. The most amazing thing is that Yong Fu was never a professional artist: at 3, his father showed him how to draw, but he did not study at art school.
