The house of the seventies has been updated with the preservation of vintage designs and things. It used to serve as a warehouse and now functions as a separate apartment for a family of four at any time of the year.

The house was built on a large plot in the late 70s as a place for a weekend for a family of four. At that time, the usual simple and rectangular style did not even think about changing housing.

The idea of a possible expansion of the house appeared only now and led to the fact that the attic with high parapet walls, an uncomfortable layout and skylights, which had long served as a warehouse for household items, was thought out as a cozy apartment.

The new-old housing was intended for an older child who founded his family and wanted to use the attic for the needs of a new family of four as a place to relax. Customers turned to architect Kresimir Sandro Slokovich. The project has been created.

The open plan of the attic is 50 square meters. M, limited only by the structure of the roof of beams, trusses, columns, masonry chimney and parapet walls. Imperfect finishes of the ridge and walls are flattened on the upper side, but finely tiled.

The owners, they said, began working on the beams, revealing the appearance of the ridge structures in order to obtain visual volume as a balance on the slopes, while revealing the beauty of the roof frame.

Thermal insulation was installed between the horns with the final installation of drywall sheets between them, plumbing and electrical installations were carried out and a floating floor was installed. The partitions are made of plasterboard on a metal basis and have sound insulation, and the existing walls are processed in a classical way.

As one of the requirements of the owner of the loft was to maintain the existing condition of the exterior of the building, the windows, shutters and entrance doors were left open, but protected by new coatings of paint.
