The Starship spacecraft passed the cryogenic test and soon should fly to a height of 150 m. It is designed to send cargo and people to the moon and Mars.

Three previous prototypes did not pass this test, which includes flooding the fuel system with liquid nitrogen. This test was carried out in order to find out whether spacecraft can withstand operating temperatures and pressure. This was written by Elon Musk in his twitter.

This week it is planned to install the new Raptor engine in the fourth prototype, which will also pass bench tests. This engine was developed specifically for the Starship spaceship. In total, it is planned to use six of these engines. Moreover, in each new prototype one engine will be added.

After cryogenic testing, they want to launch the spacecraft at a small height — about 150 m. After that, Starship must land on its own.

Recently, Rocket Lab showed new feature. In March 2020, another intercept system was tested off the coast of New Zealand, during which two helicopters were used — the first dropped a rocket stage, which was then parachuted and picked up in the air by a second helicopter.
