The company Deloitte, which provides services in the field of audit, management and financial consulting, estimated that in modern cars the share of electronics is 40%. For comparison, in 2000 this indicator did not exceed 18%.

An increase in the share of electronics in modern cars is associated not only with safety requirements, but also with an increase in their comfort. Indeed, only 16 years ago, only 25% of cars were equipped with airbags, and 80% did not have anti-lock braking systems, directional stability systems, sensors and radars, writes "Popular Mechanics."

According to analysts, "stuffed" with electronics is directly related to the cost of the car. It can be increased by 40% of the initial cost. Experts say that in 10 years, the share of electronics in cars will be 45%.

Recently, scientists from the University of Northwestern in the United States developed new material, which will help improve cars with a hydrogen engine. Its device is compared to a sponge — the product is able to hold and release a large amount of gas at low pressure.
