Nissan has released an electric supercar for the race track

Nissan showed in Tokyo electric version of the supercar Leaf NISMO RC, designed for driving on the race track. It is planned to release six copies, which are intended as demonstration. The novelty was collected by the employees of the racing Department of the company on the basis of information obtained during the development of the car Formula E.

Leaf NISMO RC is equipped with two engines, the total power of which is 322 HP.Thus, the electric car will be twice as powerful as the previous version, which was released in 2011. According to the developer, the electric sports car is able to accelerate to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds.

Weight Leaf NISMO RC-1220 kg. Motors are placed under the front and rear wheels. The batteries are exactly the same as in the conventional Nissan Leaf second generation.
