Due to the ban on mass events in the UK, pagans will hold the summer solstice holiday in Stonehenge online for the first time. You can watch the broadcast on the night of June 20-21. This was reported by English Heritage, the organization responsible for preserving the monument.
"Before making this decision, we talked to druids, pagans and emergency services. We hope that our live broadcast will give people an alternative opportunity to visit this wonderful place," the statement reads.
More than 10,000 people gather in Stonehenge during the summer and winter solstices. It is a rare opportunity to get so close to the monument - on ordinary days it is surrounded by a double fence, which ensures its preservation.
Stonehenge is opened in honor of the followers of the cult of the Druids, which is recognized in the UK as the official religion.
