Samsung has presented an artificial window that simulates sunlight. The device is an analogue of light therapy lamps designed to treat seasonal affective disorder.

The angle of illumination will copy reality and change depending on the course of the day and the scenario in which the gadget works. An artificial window can work at different times of the day, and it is controlled through a special application installed in the smartphone. Users can independently change the color temperature and brightness of the lighting, reports The verge.

The authors of the project from the SunnyFive startup, part of the Samsung C-Labs incubator, argue that such a technology will allow you to study the full spectrum of sunlight. Also, the device can replace the alarm, automatically activated at the right time.

Developers predict high demand for a smart window. This is primarily due to the need to stay at home in quarantine.

Earlier, scientists from Australia demonstrated the prototype smart patch, which is attached to the skin. Accurate sensor data will help the user track the body’s reactions to certain foods and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes in the future.
