The grandmother, who posted a photo of her grandchildren on the social networks Facebook and Pinterest without the consent of their parents, should now delete the pictures. Otherwise, she faces a fine.

The daughter filed a lawsuit against an elderly woman who published photos of her grandchildren on social networks. The court ruled that, according to the 2018 EU General Data Protection Regulation, photos must be deleted, transmits to the BBC.

If the grandmother does not do this, then she will have to pay 50 euros a day until the amount reaches 1000 euros. A similar fine awaits her if published without parental permission and other photographs.

“I think the court’s decision will surprise many people who don’t think too long before tweeting or posting photos,” said lawyer Neil Brown.

Recently, the OXO wrote about WWII veteran, captain Tom Moore, who staged an action to support the British health care system. He walked 100 laps around his garden and collected 13,000 times the planned amount.
