US aircraft developer Textrton Aviation presented a test flight of its largest aircraft. The Cessna 408 SkyCourier spent more than 2 hours in the air.

The launch of the device took place from the Beach Field airfield in Kansas. While the aircraft was in the air, which amounted to 2 hours and 15 minutes, the pilots checked its controllability, the condition of the onboard systems and engines, transmits Flight global.

The customer of the multi-purpose aircraft was the FedEx courier company, which in 2017 placed an order for 50 aircraft of this type and left the option for another 50 aircraft.

Cessna 408 SkyCourier is a multi-purpose twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed according to the high-wing plan with a T-tail. The length of the aircraft is 16.7 m, wingspan — 22 m, height — 6 m.

The aircraft can carry about 2.7 tons of cargo in the cargo version or 19 passengers and 2.3 tons of cargo in the cargo-passenger modification. It can reach speeds of up to 370 km/h at a distance of up to 740 km.

Previously, the OXO reported ground tests by Boeing drone, designed for military Air Force Australia. This is the first aircraft of its kind in the past 50 years with artificial intelligence technology.
