Apple is going to release the first fully wireless iPhone in history, which will not have the usual connector for connecting wires.

According to an insider known by the nickname Fudge, future generations of the Apple iPhone smartphone will lose the Lightning port for charging the battery and transmitting data. The developers planned to abandon the use of a proprietary connector and switch to a universal USB-C port, but in the end it was decided to make an iPhone without any connectors. This year, Apple plans to release the latest device with a "wired" connector, if the coronavirus pandemic is not forced to postpone the premiere next year.

The future generation of smartphones, tentatively called the iPhone 13, will receive the Smart Connector contact group, which is already used in tablets of the iPad Pro line, but the battery will be charged using Qi wireless technology. In the future, Apple seeks to abandon all connectors and buttons in order to thus increase the reliability of devices and reduce the likelihood of breakdown. Also, users of iPhones will be able to abandon unnecessary accessories like wires.
