The fight against terrorism is also manifested in the construction of small architectural forms. New York designer Joe Duet proposed an original solution that will not only contribute to this, but will also become an adornment of central Manhattan.
The architect designed a movable bench, which, if necessary, can delay the van with intruders. Moreover, Rely's anti-terrorist benches fit perfectly into the urban landscape of the streets of New York.
writes about this MMR.
According to the designer, the design of the benches is much more effective in deterring motorized terrorists than a police barricade or a barrier from cars.
Despite its impressive size, the design does not look massive. During a collision with a car, it works like a buffer zone, drawing it into a trap.
Joe Duet made sure that his invention was not expensive. Individual structural elements are printed on a 3D printer and connected in place by powerful rods.
