Straw maxi helped resident of Vladimir-Volynsky Kristina Savyuk become the winner of the prestigious American contest — "Straw Mask Festival 2020".

This is not the first experience of a girl participating in international competitions. Last year, Kristina went to Poland for a straw-making festival. This year, her work was devoted to the theme of flora and fauna, writes Uapost.

The festival was held in California. Its organizer was the director of the American Museum of Straw Art, Morgin Owens-Chelly. Six works from Ukraine were presented at the event.

By education, Kristina Savyuk is a teacher of mathematics. Straw weaving is a hobby that she has been fond of since she was 16. Before that, she was engaged in weaving products from beads. But she liked the creation of masks from straw.

Recently, OXO wrote about a
hobby
of an artist from Seattle. Woman knits with glass. She creates unusual art objects. The artist developed her own technology for creating sculptures.
