A store in Suzhou, the ceilings of which are painted in all the colors of the rainbow, is another project of the WUtopia Lab architectural studio. Its specialists created a frame with colorful structures, called the “Xanadu of Rainbows”.

Layers of transparent aluminum sheets with a thickness of only 1 cm imitate a rainbow. They create a gradient shifting across all shades of the spectrum. These thin panels separate the different areas of the second-hand bookstore, writes "Archidea".

Curved panels are installed along the ceiling and down the walls of the reading room. In addition to this, they functionally divide it into sections. At the same time, architects gave each zone a unique character. “Crystal Temple” — for new arrivals, “Firefly Cave” — for discussions, “Xanadu Rainbow” — for the reading room, “Castle of Innocence” — for children's books.

Recently, an international chain of Starbucks coffee houses acquired and equipped in Kyoto, Japan house, built at the beginning of the XVIII century. This building once served as a tea house. Its repair was carried out very carefully, with a maximum approximation to the traditional buildings of the Old Town.
