The apartment is located on Diagonal Avenue, next to one of the most important arteries of the city, and is a wonderful embodiment of the history of architecture. The main requirement of the owners was to maintain the structure of the house.

Therefore, when the local architects of The Room Studio decided to preserve the soul of space during the repair of this apartment, located in the very central area of ​​Barcelona, ​​this became the main priority. And the owners wanted to adapt the historical context to their current needs.

“For this purpose, all spaces were redistributed and restored, returning the original essence to the house,” the authors say. The resulting design demonstrates natural wood, various types of marble, copper and stones, as well as comfortable textiles.

In a word, this house has an area of ​​300 square meters. m was a comprehensive reform of interior design, decoration and style. The apartment was open, functionally organized and updated areas that lacked individuality and character.

The main premise of its owners was to preserve the structure of the house, adapting it to current needs. For this reason, all spaces were redistributed again, restoring all areas and returning their essence and soul. Homogeneous and wide areas were obtained where natural light is one of the main characters. It has been complemented by a global home automation project and an audiovisual system in addition to providing each space with independent music control.
