An unusual request was made to the New York architecture bureau BFDO Architects by a married couple of philologists from Brooklyn. They wanted to turn their home into a real “cat house”.

The happy inhabitants of a spacious three-story house have always dreamed of a bright and unusual interior, which would comfortably accommodate their extensive home library and a collection of works of art, and two curious but shy cats could easily escape from unexpected guests.

Thus was born the idea of ​​a bookcase with many shelves stretched across the wall. The custom-made design was designed so that cats can easily climb to the very top.

The system of hatches connecting the second and third floor, where animals can make their way unnoticed, gives even greater freedom of movement to the mustachioed owners of the house.

The owners of this outstanding home are creative people who wished to find interesting ways to create a comfortable space for life and work using color and light.

The walls are convenient storage shelves. In one of them is a diorama depicting a tiny copy of the master's living room.
