Smart device was created by scientists from Pennsylvania State University. It attaches to the skin of a person and monitors his state of health by analyzing sweating.

The created device is interesting not only to doctors, but also to athletes. For example, athletes will be able to control the level of heating of the body during jogging and adjust the level of load, it says in the magazine Lab on a Chip.

The device is on a sticker that looks like a patch. Inside are cameras that are equipped with a water-repellent valve. Sweat is collected through a silicone rubber hole for analysis through a colorimetric approach.

“We want to be able to analyze the sweat that is released from daily exercise or heat, as it has many biomarkers, such as pH and glucose, that will be a really good indicator for the progression of the disease or its diagnosis,” says Juanju “Larry” Cheng, assistant professor of engineering and mechanics at Pennsylvania.

Samsung recently launched the app Health Monitor in South Korea. It allows you to track blood pressure for a smart watch Galaxy Watch Active 2.
