Archiplan studio architects transformed the attic into a beautiful apartment (Photo)

The unclaimed attic in the new house has been converted into a luxury apartment. This project included an investment in the attic of the building to increase the residential apartment below.

The owners turned to the agency of interior design Archiplan studio with a request to reclassify the attic into living quarters: living room, study, dining room, kitchen and bathroom.

In a word, to transform a non-residential premises into a residential apartment with functional rooms - a huge living room with kitchen-dining room, office and bathroom, which, with a large area, are perfectly arranged and viewed in one space.

The attic was supposed to be a continuation of the apartment located on the ground floor, which was no longer suitable for a family, which over the years increased to 4 people.

The idea is to turn this existing space into new living, dining and family rooms, in which a new toilet has also been created.

The new space becomes the new residential area of ​​the house, and the existing apartment, located on the lower level, becomes the sleeping area. In addition, growing children needed a large and spacious play area.

The owners chose a palette of neutral tones, so the main color was white, associated with a light parquet floor and, therefore, with a light wooden wall covering. Together, these two colors - white and light wood worked perfectly in the interior with sloping skylights.

Furniture design, according to the authors of the project, dictates the hierarchy of home space, determining the ritual moments of life. Whereas the interior space is determined by the detailing of the decoration and decor, making recognizable habitats that are connected by visual relationships, which makes the space dynamic and at the same time hierarchical.

Using light wood as the basis for wall and floor decoration, the authors solved the problem of lightening the space, making it light, airy, unobtrusive and warm. This is not a Scandinavian style, although it is very close in external attributes to the well-known and beloved direction in design.

Architects have achieved the creation of simplicity and naturalness of space, contributing to creativity and relaxation. A large role in the shaping of the interior was played by the attic form of space.
