South Korean car company Hyundai has unveiled an electric bus. The novelty will be on sale in the South Korean market in the near future.

The new County Electric minibus will be available in several variations, depending on the number of passengers — from 15 to 33 seats. The manufacturer also stated that it will accelerate from 50 to 80 km / h 30% faster than buses with diesel engines, informs Popular Mechanics.

The electric bus was equipped with a 128 kW ∙ h lithium-ion polymer battery, which provides a range of up to 250 km without recharging. You can recharge the batteries in 72 minutes using a 150-kilowatt charge of Combo 1 DC, and you can also order an optional charger to connect the new items to a 220V household power supply — such a charge will take 17 hours.

County Electric received a digital dashboard, multi-function steering wheel and a smart key. The latter provides the ability to remotely start the engine. As an additional protection for passengers, the electric bus was equipped with systems that prevent the closing-opening of doors during boarding and disembarkation. Also, electronics will not allow you to start moving if the doors are open.

Earlier, the American automaker Lordstown Motors introduced its first electric car Endurance. The presentation took place at its own plant in Ohio.
