During long flights you get so tired of sitting in one position that you really want to stretch your legs and lie down. Perhaps it will soon become a reality. American startup Zephyr Aerospace has come up with an innovation for aircraft - double-deck seats in which economy class passengers can lie down.

Flying for hours in the cramped seat of an airplane can be exhausting and unpleasant in the muscles of the back, legs and neck. An American startup has proposed the idea of creating seats that allow passengers to lie down during the flight.

A designer from the American startup Zephyr Aerospace named Jeffrey O'Neill came up with and presented the design of double-deck air seats to make life easier for economy class passengers.

“Our design gives passengers the flexibility to lie completely flat, sit or sit upright with their legs fully extended,” says the author.

This solution will make plane travel more enjoyable for every traveler. Basically, the Zephyr is a new aircraft seat that allows passengers to lie down while in flight. The company also offers economy class travelers comfort and privacy in a separate cabin.

Airlines are trying to justify higher fares with various perks such as in-flight meals, lounge access and additional baggage allowance.

In this regard, the designer had an idea to create such a project. According to his idea, each seat is individual, each passenger has a table and a choice of additional options - blackout curtains, OLED screens, pillows with memory effect and other amenities.
