The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) streamed the Crew Dragon capsule splashdown with astronauts Robert Benken and Douglas Gurley. After performing a test flight that lasted several months, the aircraft landed in the Gulf of Mexico.

The capsule flooded at 14:49 EST. The splashdown site was the Pensacola coast in the US state of Florida. This event was broadcast on the official NASA YouTube channel.

Before the test landing, the capsule underwent undocking from the ISS and maneuvers on a given trajectory. The time between the movement of astronauts into the capsule and contact with the Earth was almost a day. Behnken and Garley had to go through five stages of testing all systems. And only after that the ship entered the calculated orbit.

The test landing was controlled from the SpaceX mission control center in California. Its leader Elon Musk personally watched him.

No less interesting information related to outer space was shared by the author Vitaly Komissarov in his book "Call of Stonehenge. Encryption from Space". The lot is put up for auction at OXO.
