Drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, will now be able to navigate under the control of a holographic system based on artificial intelligence. It is more efficient and less energy intensive than existing options.

Scientists from Hong Kong used holograms for their invention. They help them create 3D terrain maps in real time. Drones, guided by them, only need to indicate a specific destination. Before that, the developers used all kinds of coordination methods drones, including gesture control.

The novelty works with the Microsoft HoloLens headset. It renders content into holographic images of terrain that can be viewed from different angles. The system monitors the altitude and depth parameters for the drone. HoloLens then challenges it to those characteristics.

Recall that drones or drones are aircraft without a pilot on board. They are controlled remotely. These devices are used for research purposes, military intelligence.

Recently, American engineers taught AI to control drones in unfamiliar or confined spaces. During movement, the devices will not touch each other, even when in a small room.
