One of the Apple employees said that while working for the company as an engineer, he received a very strange proposal. He had to design a device that looked like an iPod music player. At the same time, the task was to build in several secret functions.

The device had to have a hidden memory section that would have been impossible to recognize when the device was connected to a computer using USB cable. It was supposed to be used as a search engine for toxic substances.

The order came from the project manager, who in turn reported to the US Department of Energy. In particular, it was about assisting two employees from a private company located in San Francisco.

According to the former engineer, Apple did help this private company. But opportunities for her staff were limited. They couldn't connect to the company's internal network.

As for the fact of cooperation of the corporation with the American government, it is not documented. All agreements were only oral.
