The canopy of wicker baskets was created jointly by the architect from Latvia Didzis Jaunzems and a team of specialists. This art object was invented specifically for the French festival, which presents the best landscape design ideas.

The construction consists of braids, which are interconnected in an openwork structure. It was created using a special technique and covered with almost 300 cone-shaped baskets made by Latvian craftsmen. The load-bearing part is represented by pine boards.

The wicker pavilion, invented by the designers, protects from the sun by creating shade. At the same time, it does not completely close it.

According to Didzis Jaunzems, this wicker structure is a great place for relaxation and meditation. It is in harmony with the surrounding landscape without standing out from it. And the use of natural materials emphasizes the environmental component of the project.

Remarkably, over time, the pavilion changes its color. As it ages, it acquires a natural shade of gray, thereby further blending in with its surroundings.
