Soft toys that captivate at first sight are created by the Canadian craftswoman Terry Galen. The girl's works are so cute that they will make the harshest person soften.
In his work, Terry uses the felting technique. And she uses wool, because it is the only material that allows you to create felt. It can be used to make drawings, wardrobe items, decorative trimmings, panels or volumetric soft
toys, as in the case of a needlewoman.
The Canadian uses the wet felting technique. First she lays out the wool, and then moistens it with a special solution. And, using friction, dumps the fabric into a toy.
Terry Galen is inspired by the images of animals and birds. But most of all she likes small animals. After all, it is babies who look so touching, especially if soft materials are used for their manufacture.
The Canadian craftswoman has many fans. She often sends her works to different parts of the world. And the best reward, according to Terry, is the smile that her hand-made animals evoke.
