Watches in the style of
steampunk was presented by the German profile designer Frank Bushward. This is the third model he has made from stainless steel.
The designer has equipped his third watch with glass tubes filled with neon gas. He supplemented them with a wire mechanism displaying hours, minutes and seconds.
Frank Bushward collected all the details of his device by hand. He sanded and polished them to a shine. The designer wanted the finished watch to become a part of any "metal" interior. Its mechanism can emphasize any laconic space.
Outwardly, the steampunk designer's watch resembles a metal spider with glowing eyes. Although some see them as cancer, others as a scorpion. Nevertheless, as conceived by the author, it is simply a fantastic creature that is capable of showing time.
According to the German watchmaker, the time he spent on creating one device ranged from several days to a week. Some of the options turned out to be done faster, since he took assistants for himself.
Frank Bushward's watch came out in a limited edition. A total of 18 copies.
