Electrification is not yet affecting all segments of the automotive market. Until now, new engines still rarely appear on budget models. Including Volkswagen does not plan to use electric motors and hybrid units on its compact crossover T-Cross. Otherwise, the car will rise sharply and its implementation on the market will be unprofitable.

T-Cross is so far the smallest size crossover Volkswagen. The main rival Renault Captur is assembled on the basis of Polo. In Europe, the car is available with a 1-liter 93 HP or 113 HP engine, depending on the version. In the near future, two more versions will be available-gasoline with a 1.5 l engine and diesel with a 1.6-liter engine.
