Design collaboration: the Belgians create a collection of modular furniture

The modular furniture collection was created by a design duo and experts from a fashion brand from Belgium. They dedicated their product line to remanufactured materials.

The new collection is not numerous. It consists of a sofa and two armchairs, which are modular structures. Externally, pieces of furniture resemble stacks of pillows glued together. They are attached to the back and armrests with a makeshift handle. Waterproof fabric is used as upholstery.

According to the authors of the project, the new collection is dedicated to the brand of bags released in 2019 in Belgium. The idea from the field of accessories has been successfully transferred to the field of furniture. The modules look like the insides of an already recognizable puffy bag.

Remarkably, covers for sofas and armchairs are sewn from textiles that were once used for bags. It turned out that accessories and pieces of furniture are more than interconnected.

Design novelties have not yet been released for free sale. After all, they have so far been made in only a few copies. The design duo works by prior arrangement.
