Ceramic products - fancy shaped vases and flower pots - a hobby of the Dutch ceramist Sandra Aperloo. Her work turns out to be a little eccentric, but this does not prevent them from being charming at the same time.
For her creations, Sandra uses a special type of clay, which is distinguished by an unusual whiteness. Material is brought to her from certain parts of the country. Often the ceramist compares this white clay with the snow-white canvases on which artists create.
Sandra's external products are very unusual. It's worth starting with the fact that they have a narrow elongated shape, rather unusual for vases. Sometimes a ceramist combines vases into one, intertwining them. Visually, it turns out that these are two "worms" who are just hugging.
Sandra paints her products using a variety of polka dots, stripes and leaves. Almost all of the ceramist's vases and pots are decorated with faces. This adds liveliness and charm to them.
As Sandra Aperloo says, she often does not even know what the finished vase or flower pot will look like. She just creates as the work progresses.
