Ford tests its virtual racing car (Video)
Ford has presented a new model of a racing car. Presumably, it will appear in 2021 in the game.
The virtual vehicle was created by the automaker's designers with the participation of the gaming community. The technical specialists took into account all the wishes for speed characteristics, maneuverability and appearance of the future car. The official presentation of the novelty took place at Gamescon 2020.
According to representatives of Ford, voting for the "appearance" of both the entire car and its individual elements was carried out through social networks. Users could influence future seating positions, cab design, and drivetrain variations.
At this stage, the manufacturer is at the stage of active negotiations regarding the inclusion of a new car in the 2021 game. Ford also plans to assemble it in full size at one of its factories in Cologne.
The company does not exclude that the creation of virtual cars may affect corporate thinking. As for the rest, plans have not been disclosed yet.
