The Stone Museum is one of the most unusual places in the Tokyo area. It displays stones that resemble human faces. Among them there are many silhouettes of famous personalities. And many visitors even find stones similar to themselves.

For 50 years, the author of the collection managed to collect more than 1700 stones. The main criterion is stone should outwardly repeat facial features. And not necessarily human. It can be an animal or a bird, cartoon or cinematic character. And the exhibit should not be man-made, but created by nature.

According to the owners of the museum, this place is directly related to the phenomenon called pareidolia. This is a visual illusion when different images are seen in an object or natural phenomenon. In the cracks in the asphalt you can see a picture, in the clouds - an animal or a bird.

Now the collector's business is continued by his wife and daughter. They carefully preserve what has been collected over the years, conduct excursions and receive visitors from all over the world.

The Stone Museum is a place where fantasy and imagination travel.
