African American designer designed a table with a drainage system

The furniture, equipped with a drainage system, was invented and realized by African American designer Ini Archibong. He presented his development at a specialized event held annually in London.

The line includes a table and bench, during the creation of which the designer was inspired by the sights of Northern Ireland. The furniture is made of wood - cherry and red oak. Deformed scraps of wood were used for the foundations of the structures.

Epoxy resin was chosen to cover the table top and seat. They were previously cleaned and polished. This was done in order to "temper" the furniture to harsh weather conditions and make it more practical to use.

But the main secret is the drainage mechanism. Water flows into special recesses and is retained in metal containers that look like honeycombs. To pour out the accumulated water, you just need to remove the lid and pull them out.

Leather covers for the table top and bench seat are used as additional accessories.
